I got an estimate for someone to paint the exterior of my new house. $1850! And that doesn’t include the paint, just the labor. Maybe that’s not a lot of money to some, but for $1850, I would paint the whole house myself. In a bikini. If I had the time. And the energy. So, I call my brother and ask if he wants to make an easy $1000 bucks. I just saved 46%.

Then I get an estimate from an exterminator to get rid of the mice at my dad’s house (I convinced him to let me stay there). $400! I can rent a place for that amount. So, I trudged to Menards and bought $35 in sticky traps, cat houses, d-con poison, and some contraption that you plug in that supposedly wards them away with high pitch tones. Savings: 91%.
