No Lights. No Camera. No Action.

Light BulbI had to call my friend’s husband again last night. See the lightbulbs under my overhead vented microwave burnt out. My old house used a simple regular lightbulb, but after removing the cover, I found 2 odd bulbs that I couldn’t get out. I had my son (who is stronger than me) get the first one unscrewed, but the second one broke off, leaving just the base in. I attempted to use tweezers to get it out and now I may never be able to pluck my eyebrows with them again. So my friends came to my rescue with a needle-nosed pliers.

Speaking of lights, in my next house, I will not install so many recessed can lights simply because the flood bulbs are so darn expensive! Sure, I can buy some at the Dollar Tree store for a buck, but they don’t last long. I could buy a regular 4-pack of light bulbs for under a buck, but they would look tacky. I did invest in some fluorescent flood lights with a 7-year warranty, but I hope to build a new house before 7 years. And with my luck, they’ll burn out in 4 or 5 years, and I won’t remember where I put the receipt/UPC. In fact, I don’t remember already (file 13 probably).

I also had the electrician come out a few weeks ago because 2 of my light fixtures were not working anymore. I had been complaining of the vent fan on one of those lights leaking water which I was kept being told was from condensation. Well, when he removed the fixture, gallons of water poured out. He had to add a bend to the exhaust pipe and put in a new fixture, and it’s now as good as new.

What I’m listening to on iTunes: “Gunpowder & Lead” by Miranda Lambert. I think I need to invest in that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend CD.
