May I borrow your husband?

Smiling Washing MachineLast night, my washing machine just quit in the middle of a load of laundry. Having a semi-bad day already, I didn’t need another problem to worry about. Would I need to buy a new washer? Is the laundrymat open to finish washing my clothes? What’s a single mom to do?

I call one of my married friends (aren’t they all married now?) and ask if her husband can come over to check out my dilemma. But before he could get here, I fixed the problem myself! Flipped the breaker switch and pushed the reset button on the outlet. Thank God nothing was wrong with my washer, but why am I blowing fuses already?

So, I now have another reason why I want to get married – for help around the house. The original tagline of this site was “Kim’s Journey not only to Build a New House, but to Find a Man to help Share it.” Well, the house is now built, but still not shared.

Man, I think these Christmas vacation school breaks keep getting longer and longer. The kids finally went back yesterday, so I can enjoy quietness again.

I’m not much of a movie watcher, probably ‘cuz I never find or make time to do so, but with the kids home, we actually went to the movies (P.S. I Love You) and watched some movies here at home. For Christmas, my son got The Simpsons Movie (I didn’t find it as funny as Patrick bragged it up to be) and Superbad which I found to be Super Bad (I can’t believe Shoemoney loved it). You can even make your own “McLovin” ID where you upload your picture. Ok, that part was funny.

I also found this site where you can upload your picture with fake magazine covers – MagMyPic.com. Check out the ones I made…

Back to the movies topic, my son wanted the movie Jackass 2.5 for his birthday (I won’t be watching that one). I can’t believe he is seventeen already! I wonder how many more years I can get away with telling everyone I’m still 29.
