Disclosure: I write what I want to write, when I want to write.
Sometimes, sponsors pay me to write what I want which helps pay the bills. This is one of those posts.
About six months ago, I made a decision that I would move after my twins graduated this May, but to where? Tatym, my youngest, liked the Denver job opportunity I received so she could play high school soccer that isn’t offered here. I liked the idea of moving in with the boyfriend who lives an hour away for obvious reasons of love and saving money. Talk of the town is fast, as I’ve had three inquiries this month of people wanting to buy my house.
But everything is up in the air for now since my dad died. Plus now I’m the nearest living relative to my grandmother. And I have no idea how long it will take to settle my dad’s estate (or lack of estate I should say).
So, now I’m thinking of doing a bit of remodeling on this house for the time being if I might be here awhile yet. If anything, it will only help the resale value down the road. For instance, I’d like install new kitchen counter tops and redo the front porch steps with polished concrete. But for now, it’s 5 o’clock on a Friday afternoon which I think warrants a drink.
