None of us particularly liked the photo I used in this year’s Christmas card, but it was the only one I had of all us together. I only planned to send out to family and those that we don’t communicate with online. But I realized I might as well share my Merry Christmas greetings with my online friends as well. Happy Holidays!
2013 “Kim and the Kids” Update
I’ll start with the “baby” of the family and go from youngest to oldest. Tatym is now 15 and a sophomore at Pierce High. She stays busy with playing soccer, extracurricular activities and being class President for the second year in a row. Tatym had two surgeries in the last year – one for a broken ear drum (soccer accident) and the other to have her tonsils and adenoids removed.
Macy is enrolled at Xenon Academy in Omaha, living with her grandma Rhonda. And she currently needs clients! So if you’re in the Omaha area, you can get a hair cut, color, manicure, wax or facial on the cheap. Call (402)-393-2933 to make an appointment with Macy “R” (as there is another Macy).
Macy actually graduated high school early via midterm last year, but we celebrated both twins’ graduations from high school in May.
Mallory is enrolled in Project Search which is a job training program through the Faith Regional hospital in Norfolk. She also continues to work at the Pierce Manor where she can keep an eye on Grandma Betty. We are still experimenting with Mallory’s medications to keep her epilepsy under control.
Taylor is a senior at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, making the Dean’s List and planning to graduate in the next year with a Business Administration degree. He is still a big Husker fan and attends most of the games. We sure have missed having a “man of the house” these last few years!
I am looking forward to having all of the kids home for Christmas as it’s rare now to actually have them all together at the same time at the same place. And I’ve noticed that they older they get, the more expensive their Christmas wish list items become!
As for me, I’m still plugging away at the computer all day doing affiliate marketing. I do get to travel a bit for work which is nice to take a break from the house and talk face-to-face to my colleagues. Two new cities I got to visit this year were Santa Barbara and Philadelphia. And visiting my staple cities of Las Vegas and Denver are always fun, too.
I didn’t get Christmas cards sent out last year as both my dad and Grandpa Sutter died last December making it a mighty sad month. And I thank you all for being there for us during such difficult times. On a happy note, I gained a new sister when my brother Mike got married in September. The photo of all of us was taken at his wedding in Nebraska City.
Here’s wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
