I signed the papers to sell my house today. I have to be out by 8/23. I had asked my dad if I could stay with him for a month or so until my new house is ready while he was at the bar Friday (and after I offered to buy him a beer). He was with his friends, so, sure it was all okay.
Well, today he stops by and suggests maybe I should rent an apartment, as he doesn’t have room for all of us. I reiterated that it would only be me and my youngest, and I don’t want to rent somewhere for just a month (if there is even a place available). Then he says my old bedroom is infested with mice. I HATE MICE. The little devils scare me to death.
Great. I really will be homeless. I think I need a cigarette to relieve some stress, and I don’t even smoke. Which makes me think of another trait I’m looking for in a man: Non-Smoker. Social smoker is okay, but there is no smoking allowed in my house.

Many of you request “check out my site”. Some of you have pixel sites, some are house sites, some write blogs, and some are just plain pathetic (I don’t need any nude photos entered for the date contest).
Anyway, here are few of sites that I’ll give free shameless plugs to…
The Building Brows Blog “Six kids under one roof? A two-bedroom, 720-square-foot-trailer roof??? Crazy roofer and writer! Good thing they’re building a house next door. Do-it-yourselfers. (Head shaking) How will THAT turn out…”
Ads In My House A site very similar to my own, only Eric plans to print out the ads and hang them in his house. If any of you advertisers have such a request for myself, I’d be happy to tack your ad up in my storm cellar.
The Planet Of Internet “Founded by 2 university students to change the advertisement techniques in internet and to create effective & attractive advertisement areas.” Looks like a cool concept, but doubt I’ll bite.
Anyone else want me to check out their site? Feel free to add your link as a comment to this thread instead of contacting me directly. Pathetic links may be edited or deleted.

Since Mr. Perfect hasn’t fallen from the sky today, I’m going to presume the fact that I sold my house today was my “exceptional opportunity to change your life” just as my psychic predicted. If something better comes along, I’ll update ya.
Since I got close to my asking price, I decided I could be homeless for a month or two. I think my son can stay with his father, the twins with my mother, and the youngest and I can stay at my dad’s (provided I can set up temporary DSL there). Heck without all the kids fighting and screaming, it may seem like a vacation! I may rent a mobile storage container to load up all my crap and let it set up by the new house. “Up” meaning I’m gonna live “up on the hill”. Snob hill to some. I can probably play the part.
I thought I’d take a minute to answer some questions from the “House For Kim” mailbag for inquiring minds. These are actual email questions from visitors…
Q. How could I get started with my own pixel site? Do you have to buy pixel software?
A. Easy! Download the Million Pixel Script. If I can do it, anyone can!
Q. I’m a freelance writer… Would you be interested in meeting for an interview or we could correspond via email?
A. Sure! Email Me your questions, and I’d be happy to oblige. And if you need to fly me in somewhere for brunch, I’d be honored to on your dime.
Q. OMG; you’re a hottie! Are the men in your City/State dumb/blind? that’s the only possible rationalization…
where do you reside? may I ought to relocate….
A. Thanks for the compliment, S. I think this is a good time to list another “requirement” for my perfect man. I love Attention. My high-maintenance demeanor craves it. (i.e. I want to be told I’m beautiful, even if I’m not at the moment) Men take notes. BTW, I live in Nebraska.
I’m sorry I couldn’t get through all the emails today. But keep ‘em coming. I love to hear from you!
