My Family is Screwy and Smiley

posted by kim 01.24.2007 2:54 pm in Cinemations, Digressions, Excursions, Reflections

First my mom shattered her heel requiring 13 screws (she still is not recovered), and now my son dislocated his kneecap and fractured his growth plate requiring 2 screws. I felt a little guilty having to leave him for my conference in Vegas, but the doctor assured me it was fine to go. Ok, doctor’s orders. So, my mom, one cripple, took care of the other cripple.

I’ll post more later on the Vegas trip (am a tad tired), but here is a teaser pic for you. After alcohol was involved, I’m not sure my brother, my cousin, my boyfriend, my friends and I were the appropriate spokesmodels for ShoppingBookmarks.com. But a good time was sure had by all.

Update: Even Brian Littleton, President of ShareASale sported a metallic thong bearing the ShoppingBookmarks.com smiley face for charity, with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.

My favorite pair of shoes would have to be my Mizuno tennis shoes. They are the lightest and most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever owned. I plan on staying with Mizuno in the future do to the satisfaction of the shoe.

Hi: I want one of those smily face t-shirts (size XL). I will tell you my story about shopping for shoes.

Back about 20 years ago, my best friend Cheryl had broke her foot falling into a hole in her backyard. She had to have surgery on it. She was in a cast and had screws and pins coming out of each of her 5 toes. It was around prom time, and we went shopping for prom dresses and everytime we went in a store to find a pair of shoes everyone would stare at her. She finally went to get a soft pretzel and thought it would be funny to put a piece of pretzel on each pin. Boy, you should have seen the people stare then. It was pretty funny at the time…..
