Before & After My Wild Hair

Posted by kim 03.20.2007 12:59 pm in Digressions, Reflections

My power went out yesterday morning due to some new construction being done. And what’s a girl to do with no electricity at home (ie no internet)? Cut off 10 inches of her hair to donate to Locks of Love, that’s what. I figured you’d want pics…

It’s gonna take some getting used to. And if not, it’ll grow back in time.

End of Weekend Musings

Just got back from seeing my boyfriend in North Platte and certainly did NOT stay at the Howard Johnson this time. We seem to like the Comfort Inn booked through Kayak.com. Good internet access and hot waffles for breakfast. Not quite as fancy as the Courtyard by Marriott that we stayed in in Chicago last weekend, but it was also 20% of the price.

What I’m Reading: Do I Need to Slap You? I may need to be slapped for reading such.

What I’m Listening to on iTunes: They’ll Know We Are Christians by our Love. It is the Sabbath Day, you know. Actually, I was telling my daughter how I used to play the guitar when I was younger, and this was my favorite song to play, so she wanted to hear it.

Whirlwind Weekend in the Windy City

I just got home from a quick weekend getaway to Chicago with Patrick. Everytime I visit, I like to explore someplace new: this trip it was the Hancock Observatory and The Art Institute of Chicago as well as my first ride on the EL train.

Go Chicago Card - 25 Chicago Attractions for 1 Low
Next time I visit Chicago, I’m going to plan ahead and buy a Go Chicago Card as I could have saved a ton on admission fees and saw more attractions for less. I’d also like to have more time to visit some of my Chicago friends: Pam (who had preemie twins as well) and Julie (of DiggingOutTogether.com). I did get to meet up with some of my affiliate marketing friends at an affiliate dinner at Buca di Beppo. I hated missing an hour of beauty sleep with the time change though!

What I’m listening to on iTunes: “Red High Heels” (Kellie Pickler admits she is a shoe addict.)
