Happy Holidays from Kim & the Kids

posted by kim 12.24.2007 6:48 pm in Digressions, Excursions

I had Christmas cards made up with this pic of us, and here’s an excerpt from the Christmas letter I wrote to family and friends…

I didn’t get a letter written last year as we had just moved into our new house and everything was chaotic after living with my dad and out of boxes for awhile. But I now realize with four kids, the chaos and the unpacking never ends.

Taylor turned 16 on January 5th and I was liking that he could now drive the girls to school! But that only lasted 2 weeks before he broke his right leg playing basketball requiring surgery and two screws. He required yet another surgery mid-football season to remove the screws, but was still able to be part of the Pierce Bluejays State Championship team.

Mallory and Macy started junior high at the high-school and are now moody teenagers! Mallory tried her hand at volleyball, where Macy was too busy socializing and both are active with choir and confirmation. They claim they are the only 7th graders without cell phones. Macy is jealous that Mallory got her braces off already, and Mallory wants to now try contacts.

Tatym is still quite the ham at age nine and cracks us all up. Poor girl not only looks like me, but wants to grow up to be like me. And she’s off to a good start with her own website – Tatym.com. She and I both donated our hair to Locks of Love (6” for her, 10” for me) earlier this year.

This last year I racked up a bunch of frequent flyer miles (and only lost my luggage twice). I went to Vegas, Chicago, Miami, Phoenix, New York City and London (I finally have a passport) for business and to Denver for pleasure, to see my boyfriend, Patrick. And contrary to popular belief, we did not meet online. He grew up in Foster and graduated from Osmond the same year I did, but we only met a year and a half ago.

The pictures of us are from a photo shoot for Revenue Magazine where I was featured as “The Marketing Mama” in the Sept/Oct 2007 issue. Merry Christmas from our home to yours….

Love, Kim & the kids
