Vegas Bomb Shot Recipe
Crown Royal
Peach Schnapps
Coconut Rum
Cranberry Juice
Red Bull Energy Drink
Note: Vegas Bombs taste better going down than coming back up. Lesson learned the hard way. They also may entice you do things you’ve never done before. ie I sang Karaoke for the first time this last weekend! Sang “Nobody” by Sylvia and “Manic Monday” by the Bangles. Yep, the finest of the 80’s. Luckily one of my highschool classmates sang with me (and is a Music teacher), so hopefully not too many eardrums were punctured.
A friend of mine sent me this Dog for Sale email today. I’ve made mention that I hate dogs. I seriously tense up and have a slight anxiety attack when a dog tries to lick me. I guess I could fork out some money to overcome my canine phobia, but I’ll stick to avoiding the damn creatures and wasting my money on tarot card readings instead.
What I’m eating for lunch today: Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Cereal. I only will eat Kellogg’s brand, no others come close in taste comparison. I’m following Paul McKenna’s 4 Golden Rules to Be Thin, and have so far lost about 10 pounds! I know, I’m not supposed to eat in front of my computer, but I can multi-task, ie count and type at the same time. Actually here in hickville, we call lunch “dinner”, and dinner “supper”, but I thought I’d use correct verbiage for my blog friends.
Have a good week! It’s end of Q1, so paperwork time here! Yes, I do work….

…or so our shirts say as we carry pitchers of beer and a Rum Punch for me back to our table in Denver last spring.
Patrick is returning from Australia tomorrow (catch his bungy jumping video in New Zealand) and we have a busy few weeks ahead of us!
This weekend we will be cheering on the Huskers vs USC in Lincoln - Go Big Red!
Then next weekend we are planning a big bash for our birthdays! Patrick is one month older than me. I used the above picture to create free postcard invitations via Vistaprint - can’t beat 100 postcards for just $5 shipping and cheaper postage rates!
After after that, we are going to London! I have never officially been out of the country (just the Bahamas and Nova Scotia on cruises), so am really excited!
What I’m stuffing my face with: Oreo Cakesters - I’m not a big Oreo fan, but these soft snack cakes are goooooooood. I prefer the original white cream filling ones, I’ll pass on the chocolate creme ones.

So last week coming home from Denver, I was again a tad late getting to the airport (4 am is way too early for me). I cut to the front of the security line to board my plane in time. Unfortunately, my luggage didn’t make the plane in time. And I wasn’t thinking positive enough like last time. Since it was my fault the luggage didn’t make it (for checking in late), they wouldn’t deliver it, so I stayed in Omaha for the next flight to arrive. I was too tired to shop, so found a Panera Bread with Free Wi-Fi.
Last July, Southwest lost my luggage on a direct flight to Florida (it went on to the next city). Patrick and I are leaving for Miami on Saturday to attend the Affiliate Summit, and I couldn’t get a direct flight (I hate layovers). I’m already praying that my luggage will arrive at the same time I do.
The best flight news now is that Frontier will start to offer direct flights from Sioux City to Denver starting in October, and only $84 each way! With all my trips to Denver, this will save me time (Sioux City is an hour away whereas Omaha is three) plus money (on ticket prices and my time is money). Plus they are offering double miles! I shall be an Ascent member in no time!
Speaking of flying, I’ve been wanting to watch the movie “FlightPlan” with Jodie Foster. It’s an old enough movie now that it’s cheaper to buy it used from Amazon than rent it, so I ordered it for $1.58.
What’s on tap for lunch for me today? Slim-Fast Chocolate Shake. I haven’t “found my slim” from it yet.
