Goodnight Nobody: A Novel by Jennifer Weiner

Now if my last name was Weiner, I think I’d be changing it.  Heck, I want to change my last name now.  I realized Ms. Hotdog Weiner is also the author of In Her Shoes (I saw the movie based on the book) and Good in Bed (I think I’ll invest in this one as I struggle with my body image).

Anyway, back to the book… This was more of a murder mystery than a chick lit, but still had some comical everyday humor it.  I was captivated by it, and couldn’t wait to find out who the killer was and who Kitty’s real father was.  I was disappointed at the end though that Kate never made a decision between Ben and Evan.  Ok, maybe that was too much information, as I don’t want to spoil it for the rest of you.

    2. Oh, I’ve been wanting to read this book, as I’ve read “In Her Shoes”, & “Good in Bed”, so I know I like Weiner’s writing style. I hadn’t realized that “Goodnight Nobody” was also a mystery, which makes it sound even better. I love mysteries, & the combo of a mystery & chick lit sounds fun. When someone says that they were “captivated” by a book, that’s good enough for me, I’ll definitly try it. Thanks for the recommend.

    3. I really liked this book because I can identify with the “mommy” side of the main character. She’s not perfect, but doesn’t apologize for it and does the best she can. The mystery aspect really makes this one a page-turner.

    4. I really liked this book but to be quite honest I was a bit let down since I loved Weiner’s other books much better. But it definitely was a good book, I think my expectations were just too high - definitely a great lazy day book.
