This is the second book in Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic Series
I obviously liked the first book enough to read the second book.
Since I’ve been to London and New York City (just like Becky Bloomwood), it was fun to read about certain places that I had visited.  I’ve been to Harrod’s in London, but not yet to Barney’s in NYC.

  2. I am a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella, who also writes books under another name which I can’t recall. Anyway, this book is the 2nd in the Shopoholic series, about Becky Bloomwood & her financial misadventures. Again, it will leave most readers aghast & openmouthed in it’s stories of Becky’s take on shopping. There is a nice romance, travel, business intrigue, all quite lightweight but very funny. I’m a sucker for British “chick lit”, so this series fills the bill based on that alone. Seriously, try these books out if you like “chick lit” and/or shopping. they’re hilarious & warmhearted. The other 2 not yet read by Kim are, I believe, “Shopoholic & Sister”, and “Shopoholic & Baby” which is the very last in the series so far. It is probably helpful to read them in order. I hope she just keeps writing these. Right now there is a big display of these books in trade paperback in front of the counter at my Barnes & Noble. I’ve found them at Costco also, but that’s more hit & miss. I have a friend who found a brand new hardcover edition of “Shopoholic & Baby” at the Salvation Army shortly after I had broken down & bought it new (at a discount). I am helpless when faced with a new one in this series.

  3. I’m addicted to the Shopaholic series, this was one of the better ones in my opinion. A definite must read for any woman who has a slight problem with shopping too much!
