The Big Love by Sarah Dunn
Alison Hopkins was raised a fundamentalist Christian, and when her longtime boyfriend unexpectedly dumps her, she is torn between wanting to bust loose and have some vengeful fun, and staying true to her upbringing. In this well-behaved variant on chick lit, Alison manages to accomplish both, and maybe even find a new love.

I just finished this book. It was a Bargain Book at Barnes & Noble, and I had wanted a chick flick in paperback to pack while traveling.
I could highly relate to Alison as my boyfriend left me right before I started reading this book. And I got jealous when Tom came wanting her back. I hope when/if my ex-BF comes begging me back, I can realize I deserve better as well.

This book sounds pretty good. I don’t know if it’s written more from a “Christian” viewpoint or kind of in between, but I have read some “Christian” chick lit that was pretty good, as in, fairly realistic. I am always interested in reading books where the protagionist has to make choices between what she knows to be right, & what she’d really like to do, as most of us can relate to choices like those. We all have a “good” side and a “wanna be bad” side, I think. This book is definitely going on my list, which is up to 11 books just from this site & these choices….

Sounds like a good book - I think we all have been there, even if its not religious obstacles but moral ones. Most of us after difficult breakups want to become a bit different, take different chances, live loud and make our ex jealous. But its difficult to draw that line when your morals won’t let you. I’ll have to check this one out.
